Ear Ducks

I took Camden to the doctor for a checkup. While using an ear thermometer to take his temperature, the tech made a quacking sound to distract him. She then asked, "What was that sound? Is that a duck?" Camden very seriously replied, "No, it's just earwax."

Stubborn Baby

After trying an extra twenty minutes to get our stubborn baby to give us a peek, our ultrasound tech admitted defeat. We may not know the gender of this baby until it is born in October.

Grovetown Museum

The kids and I stopped by to check out the Grovetown Museum next to City Hall. There are lots of cool antiques, and a super old fire engine and even a Model T out front. When I asked the man there where the all the items came from, he admitted that it was his own private collection. His wife got fed up with all of it, and said he had to get it out of her house, so he started the museum.

Moms Don't Barf

Camden was witness to my bout with morning sickness, and offered a 2-year-old's insight: "Mom, you can't barf- only kids."

Eight is Enough?

The rumors have already started circulating, so I might as well just come out and say it. I didn't just eat a really big burrito. There is a reason I've been avoiding strong smells and wearing yoga pants to the grocery store (and let's face it, everywhere else.) We're excited to announce that we are looking at October 29th as the due date for Farnsley kid #8.

London

My friend, Amy Ramsay, said, "London is such a beautiful young woman. I saw her in the temple last month and have meant to tell you since. Just lovely. She looks so much like you!"
I agree.

Pioneer Youth Trek

I spent two days making two dresses and two bonnets for London.
Now they are packed and ready for Trek.

They were each assigned to a "family" and will each have a role to play.

It will be a long rough hike on Ft Gordon, and they'll be cooking all their food over a fire, and camping in makeshift shelters along the way.

I hope they'll be warm enough.

They all look so cute!

Sotanghon

Eden was eating dinner at the Simmons house. Julie is from the Philippines and said,
"Someone loves this Sotanghon! It's bean thread noddles with cabbage, carrots, onion, pea pods, green onions, shredded chicken, and chicken stock. She's like, "Can you please teach my mom how to make it?" And added, "I love coming to your house. I love family and friends. Friends are like family."
I was like , "Guess what, we love you too!"

Gingerbread Houses

We had the Bryan's over to make gingerbread houses.

We used graham crackers for some.

I had a couple of kits that I bought at an after-Halloween clearance sale. Thus, the orange and black.

I also baked a cake in a gingerbread house pan.

The finished products were great.

Unfortunately, they aren't tasty, and will probably just go in the trash.
