Grand Canyon Trip

Brent and Carol took the kids to the Grand Canyon on a daytrip.
(Don't worry, Grandma, they aren't really that close to the edge!)

The average visitor spends about 20 minutes there. We spent two and a half hours. We drove the twenty-some miles along the south rim road, toured the Tusayan Ruins, and stopped in at the souvenir shop. Carol bought AZ souvenirs to go in with our European and Iraqi ones.

Carol loved the views. Someday she'd like to hike to the Havasupai Falls, sans kids.

This guy is braver than Carol.

We had a great day, just spending time together, out of the heat.

The kids were great. Both in the car and at the canyon.

Though we probably shouldn't have used the ruins as a bench...
