New Year's Eve at Disneyland California

My sister arranged for a Johnson family trip to Disneyland. It involved a lot of walking, and plenty of waiting in line, but it was fun. It's a bummer that I couldn't ride any of the really good rides, but Braden and Brooklyn and I had fun doing the little kid rides while everyone else rode the coasters. It was pretty crowded because the park was open until 2 a.m. for the holiday. But we did fastpasses for all of the major attractions. It's great that Brooklyn and Braden are still little enough that they don't know that the character's are just regular Joe's in costumes. Ah, the magic of Disney. We all went back to the hotel at 8 p.m. for dinner, and Brent and I stayed behind and put the younger kids to bed. The other adults took the three oldest kids back to the park and stayed until midnight to ring in the new year. I didn't even try to stay up. I was asleep in the hotel room by 10 p.m.
