Today was the student matinee of the Ballet AZ presentation of Romeo and Juliet. Due to time constraints, they only performed act three. It was great to skip straight to the heart of the action. I had to fill in the kids on acts one and two before the show started. Brooklyn sat on my lap so that I could narrate softly in her ear. She was very concerned when Romeo stabbed himself, and even yelled out, "Don't do it!" when it appeared that Juliet would follow suit.
