Egg Drop Competition

"Mom, I need an egg drop project for tomorrow."

Great. Here is what we came up with last night for Preston's last minute, use what you've got, egg drop experiment today. He devised a contraption  with rubberband "bungees," wrapped up like a Christmas present, because,
"It's supposed to look like something, Mom."

All of the second graders handed their projects to a utility man, who took them up in his crane, and dropped them onto the basketball court.

SMASH. Preston's poor egg was one of the many casualties.
Very few eggs actually survived the ordeal, but it was fun for all of the participants.
