3rd Annual Johnson Family Christmas Carnival

Cathy has always arranged everything in the past, but she was home with a sick Asher, so after Cathy set everything up, the running of the carnival fell into Carol's reluctant hands.

Carol baked a ton of cupcakes for the cakewalk. Eden headed straight for that attraction.

Brent manned the grill.

Preston particularly enjoyed the shooting games. Grammy supervised the prize table.

Carol mentioned to Papa that we hadn't seen Santa yet this year. He said, "Hold on, I'll give him a call." After a few minutes on his cell phone, Papa was able to arrange for a surprise visit from the Big Guy himself. Excellent.

Brent and Carol have been very good this year!

Parker helped Camden see Santa.

London isn't too old to sit on Santa's lap.

Preston wants Legos for Christmas.

Brooklyn set Santa up for failure by asking for the impossible- a life-sized stuffed tiger. We can't take one of those across the country in our car.

Eden asked for a Barbie doll.

Braden tried to run, but Aunt Colleen and Brent teamed up against him, and put him on Santa's lap.

The reluctant lap-sitter.

Great Aunt Pauline wasn't afraid to take on Braden in the duck races.

There were cookies to decorate, crafts to do, food to eat, and games to play. Carol spent a lot of time applying temporary tattoos. Overall, it was a fun day, but Carol will gladly turn the reins back over to Cathy next year.
