AZ Museum For Youth

My kids are so spoiled when it comes to experiences. Today was 2 for 1 day at the AZ Museum For Youth. I told the kids we were going to a museum, and got the standard responses of, "It's boring.", and "It's Saturday. We just want to stay home and play video games." But they loved it. Mom's really do know best. Go figure. There were displays of art made from recycled materials, and an exhibit in the dark that glowed under blacklights, as well as a display of how Day of the Dead is celebrated around the world. We enjoyed making tissue paper flowers, and coloring postcards. The kids loved the playroom, with a slide and a kid-sized house. We made masks out of milk jugs. Outside we painted washer and dryer boxes that were cut into "houses" that we got to take home. The kids liked theirs so much, that they all snuck out of their beds to sleep in them.
