Veteran's Day Parade

I took the kids downtown to see the big Vateran's Day Parade. We managed to find parking just down the street from the parade route, which was amazing.

There were horses, ponies, old cars, motorcycle gangs, fire engines, cheerleaders, marching bands, bagpipe players, and military members past and present in the parade.

Ooh! Braden loved the huge balloons, and the bands' tubas.

No one threw candy. Bummer, that was my favorite part of parades when I was a kid.

The kids haven't been to a live parade before, and they really liked it.

that is so cool! I didn't even know they did a parade. We'll have to check it out next year. Major bummer about the candy though. That was always totally the best part.

Cute pictures! I really like the one of Braden. We wanted to go to the parade but didn't make it out of the house in time. I liked Brent's Veteran's Day post, too!
