London has a nine-year-old's height, and a five-year-old's waist. (We should all be so cursed. Sigh.) This makes buying shorts very difficult. The ones that are long enough have waists that are way too big, even if they have adjustable waitbands. The shorts that fit her waist (5T) would of course, be super short, and inappropriate. Fortunately, I own a sewing machine. I took all of the old 5T jeans with holes in the knees, and made cut-offs. Now London has three pairs of perfectly fitting shorts. Woo-hoo! I made a day of it, and did all of the boys holey pants too.
