The roads are a mess, with downed trees blocking the way. Our power was only out for about 18 hours. Many, many people are still without power, and water. We were so fortunate to have it restored so quickly. Happy Valentine's Day! Needless to say, we stayed in. While we were watching a movie tonight, we felt the ground begin to rumble and shake. We live near the train tracks, but this felt different. Sure enough, we were feeling an earthquake (4.1) centered in Edgefield, SC, about 35 miles away.
Note: The chicks that we ordered arrived too late due to the weather and power outage. None survived. The hatchery will send a replacement order next week.
