Our birds are growing nicely. These two are our Cornish Cross meat birds. We named them "Gordo" and "Fatty", and have tried not to get attached. They hang out at the feed bucket all day, and are incredibly funny to watch try to run.
This is Brooklyn's Buff Orpington, "Twinkie."
You can see how much bigger the broilers are than the egg layers.
This is Eden's Rhode Island Red, "Ginger."
Meet London's Silver Laced Wyandotte, "Silver."
Next is Preston's Black Australorp, "Black Beauty."
We have two of these Light Brahmas, and have named them "Feather Legs" and "Fluffy."
Braden's little Barred Rock escape artist has been named "Houdini."
Parker's Black Sex-Link has yet to be named.
We have four little Ameraucanas, awaiting names, though the whiteish one is called "Smarty" by Braden.
Rounding out the flock is our Ameraucana "Gimpy" who has an incurably disfigured leg, and has surprised us by surviving this long.
