Homeschooling allows us to have a real hands-on approach to learning. We planted corn for our science unit on plants, and tested planting the ends of celery to see if it really would regrow roots. It did. Leaf rubbing was fun too.
We have had so much fun with our ancient Egypt unit. We didn't just read a million books from the library.
We also built Lego pyramids...
made cuneiform tablets...
paper plate necklaces,
and toilet paper roll bracelets. However, we skipped the "make a chicken mummy" activity. Eww.
